Course description:

This three-day CPD course is prepared for health professionals (Health officers, physicians, nurse, pharmacists, medical laboratory, dentists, anaesthetists, physiotherapists, environmental health professionals and radiologists) who have  a minimum of first degree It enables the trainees  to effectively generate health evidence and utilize for public and clinical decision making. The course also provides both the knowledge and skill necessary to evaluate the generated and applied health care evidences. 

Course goal:

To provide participants with essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to make public and clinical health care decisions based the available evidence.

F Discuss the key concepts of evidence generation and utilization for health care practice.

F Formulate question for evidence generation

F Search available data or information in the health facility for evidence generation

F Keep patients/clients’ privacy when searching data or information in the health facilities for evidence generation

F Appraise evidence for clinical and public health decisions

F Utilize the best available evidence for decision making

F Evaluate the outcome of practice decisions
